Audio-Technica Headphones

After decades in business, Audio-Technica continues to wow its professional and consumer users. Launched in 1962, Audio-Technica started out designing upscale cartridges for phonographs. Over forty years later, they are a leader in the design and manufacturing of microphones, wireless audio equipment, mixers and, of course, headphones.

Some more recent venues where you will find their equipment include the United States Government, including the Presidential Debates; many music award shows, including the GRAMMY Awards, the CMT Music Awards and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Inductions. In addition, their equipment is used at the Superbowl and in both the Summer and Winter Olympics.

Highlights of Audio-Technica’s Headphones Development

After more than a decade developing award-winning phonographic cartridges, Audio-Technica launched their first set of headphones in 1974. The AT-700s offered stereo sound to professionals and home consumers willing to pay the price.

Four years later, Audio-Technica’s ATH-7 and ATH-8 Condenser Headphones won the MITI Award for design.

In 2007, Audio-Technica stunned the market with the release of their ATH-ANC7 QuietPoint technology that blocks 85% of intrusive background sounds. Listeners were amazed at how comfortable the headphones were and how efficiently they block outside noise.

Audio-Technica treated women to their own line of specially designed in-ear headphones in 2008. The attractive design comes in a range of colors and easily fit into a purse, gym bag or briefcase.
