Innova Cookware - Pots, Pans Houseware Specialists, Reviews
Innova cookware consists of several brands designed and marketed by Innova Inc., which imports from specialty manufacturers in Europe and Asia for their own brands and for private labels.
Innova cookware is available in numerous brands including Kitchen Basics, Classicor, Leyse, ColorCast, and Confidence, as well as a number of house brands that are not labeled as Innova products. Innova is a cookware specialist. That is, they are not a marketing company that sells cookware alongside blenders and hair dryers; rather, they deal exclusively in pots and pans and cooking utensils. Innova develops aluminum cookware, stainless steel cookware, cast iron cookware, copper cookware, and carbon steel cookware.
Features of Innova Cookware & Housewares
Innova cookware includes popular and award-winning pressure cookers as well as electric pressures cooker and electric frying pans. Most of the lines are solidly middle-of-the-road. For example, stainless steel lines have an aluminum-core thick base for heat distribution, as do many other brands.
The ColorCast Innova cookware line is worth noting, because not many companies are offering cast iron anymore. The line consists of several sizes of oval roasters and round Dutch ovens made of cast iron covered inside and out (not on the bottom) with porcelain enamel. The company promotes this line as suitable for all cooking surfaces, including gas, standard electric, induction, and ceramic. Naturally it is oven-safe, too. The ColorCast line comes in red, green, blue, and yellow. Presumably the same pieces are available in private label lines in different colors. Porcelain enamel cookware is a great non-reactive surface for all kinds of food.
The company has a Korean affiliate that wholly owns a stainless steel cookware factory in China. Otherwise, they design their product lines and contract for their manufacture by third-party plants. The Innova website provides product descriptions for their own branded lines, but the site is aimed primarily at their wholesale customers, not retail shoppers
