Copper Pot Rack - Copper Hanging Pot Racks
Organize your kitchen with a copper pot rack. Many kitchens today seriously lack cupboard space for the average pot and pan collection. A standard cookware set comes with two large pots, three saucepans of varying sizes and at least two skillets. Add in fry pans and cast iron skillets, and you'll soon discover how hard it is to keep them stored.
Copper pot racks affix to the studs in your kitchen wall offering enough space to store an entire cookware set. Copper hanging pot racks hang from your ceiling over kitchen island space, counters or your refrigerator. With either copper pot rack, you store your pots in the open in an out-of-the-way area.
Brands of Copper Pot Racks
Enclume is a leading manufacturer of copper wall pot racks and copper hanging pot racks. They offer a variety of designs including bookshelf pot racks, bar racks, hanging copper pot racks and half circle pot racks. Their racks are relatively expensive, often costing well over $200, but the quality and durability are worth every penny!
Old Dutch International also offers copper pot racks. These copper hanging pot racks are usually ceiling mounted and come with at least a dozen hanging hooks. The grid from which the pots hang is spacious and easily holds your lids too.
Rogar creates a line of professional copper pot racks. The solid pot racks are large and heavy, so make sure you know exactly where your joists are located so that you are firmly mounted on wood and not plaster. Rogar's largest pot rack measures 40 inches in length and comes with a dozen hooks. It comes in copper, but you can also ask for the brass finish if desired.
Caring for Copper Pot Racks
Many of today's pot racks have a finish that keeps your copper looking like new. If you notice the color dulls, you can polish the kitchen pot rack with copper cleaner. If you don't have copper cleaner on hand, cut a lemon in half, sprinkle it liberally with salt and then use that lemon and salt to polish the copper. Buff with a dry towel. It works extremely well every time!
You can prevent tarnish by dusting your copper pot rack frequently. Kitchens are notorious for greasy build-up, so you may need to rub off grime monthly with a dry cloth.
