Waterproof Binoculars For Birding Hunting And Marine Use
Waterproof binoculars offer all season all weather close-up viewing while hunting, birding, fishing, sailing and more. Most binoculars will withstand a little rain well enough. But waterproof binoculars can survive a dunking.
The Most Versatile Binocular. Waterproof binoculars are essential if you use binoculars for hunting and fishing, birding, boating, or marine applications, among others. Even if all you use them for is to attend sporting events, you are likely to be caught out in the weather at some point. If your binoculars are not Waterproof, you'll need to carry them in a protective case. If they are Waterproof, though, you can leave the case at home.
Incremental Weight Increase. Waterproof features add to the cost and the weight of the binoculars (but saves you the weight of a separate carrying case);
Waterproof Seals Plus Anti Fog Features. In any case, all fine binoculars are sealed and filled with nitrogen, argon, or another inert gas, to keep the internal elements dry and fog-free. But waterproof binoculars also have anti-fog and water-repellent external lens coatings. They are often encased in rubber, and all moveable controls are designed to survive wetting, too.
