Handling more than 31 million passengers every year, Detroit Metro Airport is a modern, efficient airport. Renovations added two terminals, better parking with more than 18,000 spaces and an exceptional recycling program.

Directions to Wayne County Detroit Metro Airport Parking and Terminals

Wayne County Detroit Metro Airport parking and terminals are a short drive from the I-94. Take Exit 198 and follow airport signs. For those using GPS, the airport's physical address is E Service Road & Lucas Drive.

Where to Park at Wayne County Detroit Metro Airport

With two covered parking garages and a paved lot at Detroit Metro Airport, you'll find plenty of options.

The Big Blue Deck is adjacent to the North Terminal. Reach the airport terminal through a covered walkway. Those who need the McNamara Terminal receive free shuttle service or select the McNamara Terminal Parking Structure that is attached to the McNamara Terminal. Short-term Parking is available at each parking garage.

The Yellow Lot is a paved long-term parking lot. Free shuttles run to both terminals. This is your cheapest Wayne County Detroit Metropolitan Airport parking. You pay a flat rate that is at least half the price of the garage daily rates.

If you prefer the ease of Valet Parking, head to the McNamara Terminal Parking Structure. This is more costly and ranges from $12 to $33.

The parking garages range in price. For short-term parking expect to pay $3 to $25. The long-term parking ranges from $3 to $20 depending on the garage you select. The Big Blue Deck is less expensive.

If you are simply picking up passengers, head to the Cell Phone Lot and wait for the plane's arrival. Once your passenger is at baggage claim, they can call your cell and wait for you curbside.

Passengers frequenting the DTW airport may recall a Green Lot. This lot closed in 2008.

Handicapped Parking at Detroit Metro Airport

Handicapped parking is available in the McNamara Terminal Parking Structure and the Big Blue Deck. Be warned that there is a vehicle height maximum limit of 7 feet. If your vehicle is taller than 7 feet, you must go to the Over-height Parking surfaced parking area adjacent to each garage.

You must display the proper handicapped signage while your car is parked in a handicapped space. Failure to do so will lead to your car, truck or van being towed.

Alternate Parking Ideas for Wayne County Detroit Metro Airport

If you have need to book a hotel before or after your flight, consider booking a Park, Sleep and Fly package. Many Detroit hotels offer these deals. You receive a room for the required night and are allowed to leave your car parked in the hotel parking lot for 7 to 14 days usually. If you're going to be away longer than that, they'll charge a reasonable parking fee for the extra time. Hotel shuttle brings you to and from the airport.
