Driving Directions for Washington Dulles Airport

Washington Dulles International Airport is about 30 miles west of Washington D.C. in Dulles, Virginia. The airport's actual address is 1 Saarinen Circle, Dulles. Use that address in your GPS system or online map service, such as Google Maps.

Take the I-66 heading west and take Exit 67. The airport is about 16 miles from the interstate. Follow airport signs.

From the I-95, take Exit 27 onto the I-495 West. Take Exit 45A and follow airport signs.

Parking at Washington Dulles International Airport

Hourly Parking is in front of the main terminal. This lot is geared for quick visits of a couple hours. Pay around $4 per hour here. Valet Parking is also found in Hourly Parking. Valet Parking costs the most on day one and then you get a discounted rate for additional days. Expect to pay $19 to $30 per day in Valet Parking.

The Daily Garages are connected to the Main Terminal. Rates in the garages are under $20 per day. If you need shuttle service from the garage to the terminal, contact IAD Parking.

Save money parking at Washington Dulles Airport. The Economy Lot offers three sections that are off Dulles Access Highway. Free shuttles bring passengers to and from their terminals. Expect to pay around $10 per day in these lots.

If you're waiting for passengers, head to the free Cell Phone Waiting Area. You can remain parked in this lot for sixty minutes while you wait to pick someone up. Once they're through baggage claim, they'll call you and wait in the designated pick-up area.

Take note that no vehicle may be parked in Washington Dulles Airport parking facilities for more than 45 days. Vehicles left longer than 45 days are towed and you are required to pay the towing fee and daily storage fee before your car is returned.

Washington Dulles International Airport uses the Pay and Go service. When you exit your vehicle, make sure you grab your parking ticket. Upon your return, stop at a Pay and Go machine in the main terminal and pay your parking fees at that time. Return to your car and leave the parking lot quickly by inserting your paid ticket into the gate machine. Pay and Go machines are bilingual and accept cash (bills only, no coins) and credit cards.

Washington Dulles Intl Airport Disabled Parking

All IAD parking areas offer handicapped accessible parking. You must display a handicapped plate or placard. In the hourly lot, look for disabled spaces closest to the terminal in rows 2 through 30. In the Daily Garage the handicapped parking spaces are on the first level in Garage 1 and the first and third in Garage 2.

If you want to save money, handicapped parking in the Economy Lots are nearest the shuttle stops. All shuttles are equipped with wheelchair lifts.

Take note that the different parking facilities do have maximum height clearances. In the Hourly Lot, the limit is 10.5 feet. In the Daily Garages, vehicles must be under 8 feet 2 inches. The Economy Lot is the most generous with a height restriction of 14 feet.
